Moonlight by Solkku Moonlight by Solkku
Good evening all! I wanted to give this "Moonlight" shot a mysterious and surreal feel, and what better way to do it than inserting a waaayy too big moon in the sky. =) This number one picture of the series consists of three different objects (all by me);

1. The photo with the trees, horizon, and ice. Photo taken in sunny daylight, but toned it down and added a blue tint. It now appears as there is a second light source in this image in addition to the moon. It may appear that the horizon is slighty off, but that's just because the part of the forest on the left side of the two trees are closer to the camera than the forest on the right.
2. The moon photo.
3. The starfield is created from scratch in Photoshop.

Comments and critiques are welcomed.

Paavo

Super shot/creation. I was just thinking: "This looks like straight out of a movie" (Lord of the Rings calibre)... and lo and behold it IS a creation by the artist! I think the moon's size gives the image a real draw without being overkill, and your sky is photorealistic. Especially impressive is the photo element- a DAY shot? Incredible. Super skill and artistic vision.

Thank you. :) Yhis is a sort of made up scene, so the second light source could be another sun or something. :) Let your imagination roll.

nice idea. cool look. just one tiny remark (apart from the moon being too big, but you said that yourself... ;-)): what about that second light-source at the left? is that a spaceship? ;-)

This is so gorgeous! Great work on the whole piece!
It looks like the darkness of nightfall has not quite arrived, or daylight as a start for the day...

Adding stars was just a really great touch!

A+

They're just too lazy, I guess they just want to use their accounts as ordinary up-load albums, because this is an art website therefore I feel that all the pieces need to be explained by the artists.

I wanted to do so, because I hate that sometimes if I want to know more about a photo there is just a "." in the description.

aww thankuu :floating: it's my best comment ever in DA for sure!.. I just want to add more that.. using the imagination power is all good.. it makes us powerfula in ourselves.. but it's good to not seek success in this way.. follow the dreams.. follow the heart.. every wish can come true!

hehe this one is all about imagination.. being in darkness we can't always find the light of hopes.. we just need to feel it even if it's not there.. you made the morning look like night.. I may imagine myself in something bright.. there's nothing wrong in it.. there's nothing false in it.. every morning has an end.. and every darkness will see the light oneday.. it's the strongness of mind that God gave us as a gift.. need to use it :) :+fav:
