Artist's Comments

Good evening all! Here's a shot taken last Friday in Pellinge (an islet outside Porvoo in Finland) at sunset. I liked the way the piled up ice on the shore just curved up and continued as far the eye could see, thus the title.

Hope you like it. Comments and critiques are welcomed.

Paavo

Sharpness and colours are stunning as usual, however the foregroung is a quite mess.

Thanks for your comment, much appreciated. In what way do you mean mess? Something I can fix?
:iconwjptak:
No, Your skills are amazing, ut composition is disturbing - beautiful and calm background would play better without this rock (I believe it is the rock, this frozen one in the front), it makes this beauty photo messy - if You could shot this one while standing on it, so the whole picture wouldd be the lake, it would be great!

Thanks. I haven't thought of it that way, I just thought combining different elements into one composition might make it interesting.. but I guess it makes a mess out of it hehe. :) I think I have a shot without the rock, but not taken at the exact same place:

Oh well what do you know. =) Thanks again. :)

Lovely colours, the horizon is a bit slanting, you should straighten it up in PS :)
However, I do not think the foreground is a mess, I like the contrast between it and the quiet sky in the background...:)

Thank you for your comment. I just checked the horizon in PS and it is as straight as I am. It must be the trees on the left and the clouds & distant forest on the right that is fooling the eye.
