So here's a first manipulation like this for me. I know it's a cliché and nothing new. Many have done images like this before, but I thought I would give it a shot anyway. The original shot wasn't that sharp, 700px was the largest size that I could get descent quality of.

I used quick layer mask in PS and turned the lion to B&W. finally added a slight sepia filter to the lion.

Hope you like it. Comments and critiques are welcomed.

I just thought I'd suggest that if the animal was in the dark as the background suggests, the pupils of the eyes would be open a lot wider.

Just a suggestion; maybe you already thought of that and decided to leave the eyes as they were. Still love it!
